Maho Beach on the island of St. Maarten is one of the most popular locations for plane spotting. It is one of the few places in the world where one can view aircraft in their flightpath virtually just outside the end of the runway. There are even arrival and departure airline timetables displayed in most bars and restaurants on the beach. But the jet blast from the air crafts are so strong the beach can experience large waves and viewers can be blown into the water!
