• It is illegal to leave your house if you are not wearing underwear.
• Barbers are usually closed on Wednesday because the Thai think cutting your hair on that day of the week will bring you bad luck.
• Drivers back into parking spots and never pull forward into to the parking space.
• Thailand changed its name 3 times in 10 years, going back and forth from Siam to Thailand.
Cultural Oddities:Switzerland
• When the Swiss name their children they must choose from names on an approved list.
• Almost all doors have handles, not knobs, and lock with a key so it is impossible to lock yourself out.
• The profession of most people is listed in the phone book, just after their name.
Cultural Oddities:The Netherlands
• The Dutch love sprinkles on toast. They call it “hagelslag”.
• Only 1 hot meal is eaten per day.
